Marianne G. Martin, DVM

Dr. Marianne Martin, a native of Massachusetts, received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Vermont in 1985. After graduation, she worked in immunology medical research in the Boston area for several years and co-authored numerous peer reviewed publications. She has always loved animals and medicine and decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Dr. Martin received her degree from Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in 1993 with a thesis involving maturation of Equine Oocytes in Vitro.  After graduation, she worked in several local small animal practices before moving to Plano, Texas. She practiced in Plano from 1997-1998.  Dr. Martin joined the staff at Slade Veterinary Hospital in 1999. She served on the Board of Directors at NEADS with Drs. Migday and Kaplan from 2005-2007.

Dr. Martin's professional interests include ultrasonography (abdominal and echocardiology), soft tissue surgery and internal medicine. She values forming relationships with her clients and getting to know their pets so she can provide the best care and advice for each individual.

In addition to her professional life, Dr. Martin has three busy young adult children and a senior Ragdoll cat named Moses. She enjoys family time, participating in outdoor activities with her three corgis (Tessie, Isaac and Dixon) and watching her daughter event on their Trakehner/ Quarter
horse, Polson. She also loves to volunteer at local equine competitions.
